'Rafa is going to play…' Alexander Zverev predicts how Rafael Nadal will fare at 2024 Roland Garros
Mike Frey-USA TODAY Sports

German tennis ace Alexander Zverev has shared his views on Rafael Nadal ‘s potential performance at the 2024 Roland Garros amid the talks of how the ‘King of Clay’ will fare at his favorite Grand Slam tournaments. As Nadal gets closer to finalizing his participation in the year’s second Grand Slam tournament, fans and experts are discussing how the 37-year-old might perform in a high-intensity tournament.

With apprehensions about his fitness and injury concerns always around the corner, many feel that Nadal might not be able to play at his best level. This means that the 14-time French Open champion might suffer an early exit. Nadal’s performances at the two Masters tournaments he played on clay have not been encouraging either.

While the Spaniard reached the fourth round in Madrid, Nadal was knocked out from Rome Masters in the second round, following a defeat to Hubert Hurkacz. His outing in Barcelona was also mediocre as he bowed out of the tournament in the second round. But despite all the struggles, Zverev is backing the Spanish legend to pull it off in Paris.

It's just the way it is. Rafa is going to play a lot better than he did in Madrid and Rome. I'm certain about that. Alexander Zverev said about Rafael Nadal in a press conference.

Alexander Zverev hits form at the right time!

While he is backing Rafael Nadal to come good at the 2024 Roland Garros, Alexander Zverev has regained his form at the right time. After some serious struggles on and off the court, Zverev has managed to lift a Masters title.

The German ace won his second title in Rome and his 6th ATP 1000 tournament. With this win, Zverev has pushed himself as one of the top contenders for the elusive French Open title this year. The 27-year-old will be hoping to bury the horrors of 2022 when he goes to Paris.

Having suffered a life-threatening injury at the 2022 edition of the Grand Slam tournament, Zverev will be thinking of changing his fate and lifting the title which will also be his maiden Grand Slam title. With Novak Djokovic struggling with his form and Carlos Alcaraz & Jannik Sinner injured, Zverev should fancy his chances.
